Images Revealed.......

It's amazing to me to be able to utilize technology that helps reveal picture images long ago faded and almost lost. My brother recently found some family pictures that are so faded that it is almost impossible to see who the people were in the photo. I told my brother that I thought I could take the pics and restore them. I took my Samsung I85 8 megapixel camera and photographed the pictures and loaded them on my PC.  Below is one of the pics.

I used "IrfrnView" software to restore the picture to a more viewable condition.

Restored picture. Wow! now you can actually see their faces. In this picture, my brother is the young man in the front then behind him left to right my dad, mom, aunt, grandma, and grandpa.

Blast out of the past.......

A few months ago I was viewing some old VHS tapes from back in the mid-1980's. On one of them I found a 12 minute segment of video some friends at the time recorded of my kids. I had totally forgot about that episode and was really excited when I found the segment.
I ran the VHS tape player's output through my "Dazzle" USB video capture device and recorded the segment on my hard drive. I was able to make a nice DVD for each of my kids. Additionally, using Creator 2009 software, I captured still pictures from the video frames.

Anyway, this was a fun project that preserved precious memories from the past. VHS tape to DVD is one of the services provided by Info-Pro Consulting. www.info-proconsulting.com
